Pool party

A nice relaxing Fourth Of July at our neighbor's house. What you don't see are the ten kids in the pool.

the kids have the right idea! terrific sketch, looks so cool and relaxing, I'm not sure I could have stayed awake to do any sketching!

and yes my doodles were done directly into Photoshop with a Wacom tablet, I find it difficult to draw on the slippery tablet though so twas a bit of practicing

and hey, cool to hear you're working on a new storyboarding job, considering your last job of course I'm curious! can you reveal what it is?

Charming, charming, as always. Your sketches are so direct and lively, I feel as though I'm right there, poolside. And I wish I were, too!

My first thought was that it looked like a Japanese print. The composition is so elegant and then when you look at the bigger image it's very modern. The colors make the scene look as hot as I bet it was.

Thanks to you all so much. I drew this after swimming with all those kids for an hour -- each in turn wanting me to throw them in the water. It's amazing how quickly that gets tiring, but fun nevertheless. Next time I'll paint the kids.

Nice artwork. I like your style. Don't know how you can concentrate with kids screaming around you.
