Hollywood Bowl

This last evening we went to the Hollywood Bowl as guests of some good friends who had front row seats. I did some watercolor sketching:

This is Sarah Chang. She was amazing. I normally don't pay too much attention to clothing, but she was wearing a dress that really suited itself well to watercolor.

Violinists in the orchestra right in front of us.

Her dress is beautifully colored! I can't even imagine trying to draw someplace like this! Love your "portrait" too!

Front row tickets....check!, Music....check!, Sketchbook....check! Sounds like a perfect way to spend some time!

Thanks Cindy, Tami and Suzanne. I was a little worried about sitting there with the book in my lap and the colors on the white tablecloth, but hey. It was a great time and I think I'll buy some of Sarah Chang's music. She was amazing, as I said, and reading about her starting her career at age 4! Wow.
