Inga

I was emptying out some old drawers and found a piece of paper floating around in there -- on the other side was this sketch. It's my old friend Inga the cat from 1986. This was back when I lived in a large house in Pasadena with four or five current and ex Art Center students. Back then I was sketching a lot with india ink washes, making good use of those artsy splatters. Feels like two lifetimes ago. It's funny finding something like this.
Work has been so crazy lately that I haven't had two minutes to sketch anything new. Maybe I'll get a moment this weekend.

Oh wow Anthony, this is really gorgeous.
Hi Anthony. You all popped into my head tonight and I thought "Well, let's go see what he's been up to latey..." Imagine my smile then when the first image to appear up was of Inga! Thanks! Wendy
ohhh wow, love the ink and wash, something I want to explore, a lovely sketch, what a treat it must have been to come upon a lost treasure like this!
this is beautiful!
Wendy! Wow, what a nice surprise that you dropped by. When I wrote "current Art Center students" I was thinking of you. The rest of us were just a bunch of freelancing slackers fresh out of that place. And Inga was the very best cat ever.
Thanks so much Andrea, Cindy and fossfor, for the nice comments. Maybe I should do more of this kind of sketching again.
I'm sorry work is keeping you from your sketching. This is a lovely study of a beautiful cat. I like the soft but strong washes.
