Aging movie star

I walk past this famous old beauty every day on the way to my current office at the studio. She's been parked between a large storage bin and some potted plants near the loading dock across from my building for months, if not years. What a great vehicle to sketch. I may try for another, more unconventional angle later.

Great portrait!
I can't help seeing a face in the grille of a car -- and this one has a bit of a tired expression. What brand was the Ghostbuster car anyway? Is this a Cadillac?

Ha, thanks France. I was actually thinking of you when I was drawing it -- I finally have a wagon to draw! Yes, it's a 1959 Cadillac hearse, a massive piece of steel, chrome and glass. The thing you don't see from this angle are the crazy fins on the back, which were at their absolute historical zenith in 1959.

That's fantastic! Sad that it seems to be just parked there collecting dust. Or do you see it out driving around ever?

Who ya gonna call?!

She looks much more gorgeous in your drawing compared to the real thing!

Would they sell it? We run a virusbusters group in NZ - the car would be a treasure to own or run as a company vehicle?

Mind you .. that is probably just a fantasy but still .. if you don't ask you'll never know.

No, not a "knock-off", it's the actual car from the movie.
