Thank you! A lot of people ask me what I draw with, and I'm always a little embarrassed that the tools aren't more exotic. I use a 6b pencil lead in a 2mm clutch pencil holder, and the "washes" are done by smearing the graphite with a big, soft pastel smudge tool. I laid them on the scanner here to show you.
The "tinting" comes from the naturally yellow color of the Moleskine sketchbook, which seems to get stronger after I goose up the levels in Photoshop to make the pencil a bit darker.

i love creme brulee. the sketch is great too... specially the tinting.
