This is a rough sketch with color added representing a mural concept for the "Lost and Found" room at my kids' elementary school. The idea is that a child looking at this picture could locate all the lost mittens that the kittens can't see.
Anthony... thank you for stopping by my blog, what a treat to find your blog and view your work. Wonderful. What talent. Your post about unfinished work made me smile. I too have such a long list. I have three paintings just waiting to be worked on ... line are drawn on the watercolor paper just waiting. A commission that has been set aside for a month at least. The list goes on. I agree, this is the year to wrap up some unfinished business.
Thank you all for the nice comments. A local artist and art teacher has done the hard work of putting this image on the wall. I'll post a photo of it when she's completed the work. It will be the first time that another artist has painted something from a sketch that I've made. I can't wait to see it. Thanks again for checking in and the nice words.

This is adorable and the colours are lovely! The kids will love it, I like the fact that it's "interactive".
Cool beans! As an adult, i would stand in front of it staring and looking for mittens. The kids will love it.
Aaaw cool! What a great concept - and as always brilliantly executed.
