My street this morning

Every day I walk my kids to school and walk back down the tree-lined street and think, "this would make a nice sketch someday". Well, today was the day! It didn't take too long -- just long enough for my back to complain, standing there, but I kept drawing anyway. Fall leaves were everywhere. I really didn't do it justice.

looks like justice was done to me, wow, wonderful pages Anthony! I'm so struck (again!) at the seeming ease with which you do this, beautiful line and composition!
your work is awsome, It's amazing how everyday life is usually more interesting on paper/canvas. Maybe it's just my life.....
I know what you mean by the 'doing justice' of a view, but I love this! Isn't it the case that as you're looking deeply at the scene and reproducing it as lines on paper, you have some sort of bonding with the setting? That's what I enjoy about sketching. I blather on, but I think this is special. Thanks for taking the time to sketch and share it.
Goodness, you did this standing? It adds to my appreciation of it. I've been looking at it and for me, the shadows of the trees stand out. And drawing all the leaves might have crowded everything after all. I like the way you suggested them. Great spread.
This is lovely and so inspiring. I often sketch standing too (my back prefers standing to sitting). If you didn't do it justice, it must be a pretty spectacular neighborhood because this looks really nice to me. I wish my neighborhood has so many trees.
As I read your account of walking the kids to school and back, I had a vision of the walk and the neighborhood that was pleasant and peaceful. Then I realized the vision was largely fueled by the drawing. Very nice...
FANTASTIC!!!
Wow, your art is so inspiring
